Goals and Highlights Arsenal 0-2 Juventus: in Friendly Match.

Juventus come away with a 2-0 win without having to create too much on the attacking front. Arsenal dominated but could not put the ball in the back of the net. 

Arsenal have put out another strong lineup as Aaron Ramsdale returns to the first XI after coming back from the World Cup. Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey and Ben White all start.

Arsenal starting lineup (4-2-3-1, left to right): Ramsdale (GK); White, Gabriel, Holding, Tierney — Partey, Xhaka — Odegaard, Vieira, Nelson — Nketiah.

Arsenal subs (12): Hein, Turner, Cedric, Sousa, Walters, Foran, Elneny, Nwaneri, Smith, Marquinhos, Butler-Oyedeji, Cozier-Duberry. 

For Juventus, this will be their first match since the World Cup break and former Everton striker Moise Kean starts. Massimiliano Allegri has been under fire this season after poor performances and some will say the break came at the perfect time.

Juventus subs (12): Pinsoglio, Vinarcik, Huijsen, Rouhi; Nonge, Zuelli, Besaggio, Iling-Junior; Aké, Cerri, Mbangula.

91st min: GOAL! Juventus counter and double their lead. Iling-Junior’s cross-cum-shot takes a horrid deflection off Holding and it beats Ramsdale. Two own goals! 

88th min: Arsenal are running out of time to save their unbeaten mid-season friendly run, Juventus are holding them well.

82nd min: Juve are starting to draw fouls as Arsenal’s patience thins. Gabriel brings down Gatti in the latest offence. 

78th min: Nwaneri comes on for Marquinhos. 

71st min: Odegaard clips a ball aimed for Nketiah but it runs away from the forward and Pinsoglio collects. 

68th min: Tierney’s shot is dragged wide. Arsenal starting to pick up the pace as time begins to run out. 

60th min: Marquinhos whips in a brilliant ball from the left and again nobody is there to put it in the back of the net for Arsenal. This is a reoccurring theme in pre-season, one that Arteta will hope to snuff out.

58th min: Odegaard’s out-swinging corner lands on Nketiah’s head but he can’t redirect it goalwards. 

55th min: It’s been a much better start to this half from Juventus, they look up to the challenge of defending their lead and are aiming to counter Arsenal.

46th min: The players are back out and the second half resumes

43rd min: Marquinhos does well on the left flank to beat his man and flash a cross along the six-yard box but nobody is there for Arsenal to tap it home. 

35th min: CLOSE AGAIN! Nketiah looks to take advantage of a defensive error from Juventus and strikes the post as he tried to slide it past Perin. 

34th min: CLOSE! Nketiah puts the ball in the back of the net with a typical striker’s finish after Odegaard’s free-kick hits the wall but he was offside. 

30th min: Partey drifts through the midfield and tried to side-foot the ball into the corner but it’s well wide of the goal. Arsenal lacking any real cutting-edge in the final third so far. 

22nd min: Nelson makes way for Marquinhos, the young Englishman appeared to be holding his right hamstring as he departed the pitch. 

20th min: It falls nicely to Odegaard on the edge of the box, he then tries to whip his foot around the ball but cannot get it on target. 

17th min: Arsenal still dominating but struggling to create any clear-cut chances. Juventus have barely entered the Gunners’ half. 

10th min: Vieira comes close! He hits a sweet strike on the volley outside the box but it’s not quite in the corner and the goalkeeper pushes wide. 

3rd min: Arsenal dominating possession early on and Tierney whips in a cross but nobody can get on the end of it. 

1st min: Arsenal gets the game underway.
